IMPORTANT INFORMATION & TERMS
We kindly ask that you read the following terms carefully. By placing an order or making a purchase with PLP, you confirm your understanding and agreement to these terms.
Prom Promise
At PLP we understand how important it is for you to feel unique on your special day. Our Prom Promise guarantees that we will not sell the same style code to another student attending your school, even in a different colour.
Please note: While we maintain exclusivity within our own sales, we cannot guarantee exclusivity if a similar gown is purchased through another retailer outside of PLP.
Stock Dresses
All stock dresses are non-returnable and non-refundable. We strongly advise that you inspect your gown thoroughly before leaving the premises.
Any known faults or imperfections will be disclosed in advance and reflected in the final sale price, agreed upon before payment is made.
By completing the purchase, you will be required to sign a form/receipt confirming your understanding and acceptance of these terms.
Alterations
PLP does not provide in-house alteration services; however, we can recommend experienced and trusted independent seamstresses.
PLP accepts no liability for any work carried out by third-party alteration providers.
Advice offered by our team is based on experience and provided in good faith; however, all final decisions remain the customer’s responsibility.
Size Ordering & Returns
The selection of the dress size is ultimately your responsibility. While our team is available to offer guidance, we cannot offer refunds or exchanges due to sizing issues.
Sizing varies by designer. If you fall between sizes, we strongly recommend selecting the larger size to allow for easier tailoring.
Once a size is agreed upon and the order is placed, the dress will be custom-made to your specified size and colour.
Gowns are manufactured to a standard length. If adjustments (e.g. hemming) are needed, it is the customer’s responsibility to arrange and cover the cost of any alterations.
PLP is not responsible for dresses that do not fit due to changes in body measurements, weight fluctuation, or other factors outside our control.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to initiate your order. Once submitted to the designer, production begins immediately. Orders cannot be cancelled or modified.
Refunds and exchanges are not available for change of mind.
Payment Methods
We accept both card and cash payments.
Flexible payment plans are available:
Made-to-order dresses: 1/2 (non-refundable deposit.)
Stock dresses: 1/3 (non-refundable deposit.)
Please contact us if you require alternative payment arrangements.
Ownership & Deposits
All gowns remain the property of PLP until paid for in full.
Deposits are non-refundable. In some cases, they may be transferred toward the purchase of a stock gown, at PLP’s discretion.
Once a gown is ordered, it cannot be cancelled or returned simply due to a change of mind, in accordance with the Sale of Goods Act 1979.
Collection & Storage
Customers must collect their gown and settle any remaining balance within 14 days of notification.
From day 15, a storage fee of £3.00 per day will apply, up to a maximum of 30 days.
After 30 days, if the gown remains uncollected and unpaid, the order will be cancelled and the deposit retained to cover storage and administrative costs.
Liability
PLP’s liability is limited to direct losses arising from proven breach of contract.
We are not liable for any delays, damages, or issues beyond our reasonable control.
These Terms do not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
PLEASE NOTE:
We strongly advise that you read and fully understand all Terms & Conditions prior to choosing us. By proceeding with a purchase, you confirm your acceptance of these terms.
